The following is a brief list of beliefs and values that help guide our community. Should you have any questions or need of clarification, please reach out to our ministerial staff by email at info@pleasanthill.cc.

Vision

Our vision is to see Pleasant Hill Christian Church be a place where Jesus is transforming lives- one at a time.

Mission

Our mission is to be a people living like Jesus by seeking the lost, making disciples, and showing compassion.

Core Values

By God’s Grace…

The Bible is our Final Authority.

We are a Holy People.

We are Culturally Relevant.

We are Faithful Stewards.

We strive for Excellence in all things.

Beliefs

We believe God is the sole Creator of the universe. Jesus Christ in the flesh was both

God and man. That Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified

and died for payment of our sins, was buried and raised again on the third day and then

ascended into heaven. We believe Jesus is coming again and that He alone can atone

for our sins and provide eternal salvation because He alone is Lord.

The Bible

We teach the Bible is the Word of God, supernaturally inspired, inerrant, preserved

through time and God’s divine standard for life and eternity. We have no other books to

follow except the Bible.

The Church

Pleasant Hill Christian Church is a nondenominational fellowship of believers in Jesus

Christ who have no creeds but Christ, no book but the Bible, and no name but Christian.

Baptism

Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the

Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a

crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life,

and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his

faith in the final resurrection of the dead.

The Lord’s Supper

The Lord’s Supper is a weekly act of obedience when all who have examined their walk

with the Lord are invited to partake of the bread and the cup. Through the act of

communion, we remember the death of Christ and anticipate His second coming.
