“The Great Jungle Journey” VBS arrives at Pleasant Hill Christian Church
VBS leaders at Pleasant Hill Christian Church are making sure you know that Vacation Bible School fun is full of adventures & the students are guaranteed a great time! A Jungle Themed VBS production called “The Great Jungle Journey”, young people will travel off the beaten path through the Amazon, experiencing the beauty, the wonder, and the danger of the remote rainforest. Beyond every bend, high in every tree, new treasures are just waiting to be discovered. This adventure-based Vacation Bible School program takes place August 5-9, 2024 from 6:15PM to 8:30PM each day. With Friday adding an exciting, unique twist!
There will be classes for students from age 4 through the 5th grade. "Kids will be divided into teams and will travel throughout the church campus as they discover how God blessed us with His Word!” explains Jenny Loveless, our 2024 VBS Director. “Every student will also experience the ultimate biblical trek through time as they follow the “history book of the universe”-THE BIBLE, on a tour of the 7 C’s of history: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation.” Students will learn some fascinating Bible details from the special ‘tour guides’ each night. All along the way, they'll learn that God’s Word is true!” she added.
Pleasant Hill is jumping with excitement as the church gears up for “The Great Jungle Journey”. This creation themed VBS produced by Answers In Genesis will provide fun, memorable Bible-learning activities for kids of all ages. Pleasant Hill’s Darrin Daugherty explains, “The Great Jungle Journey applies God’s Word to relevant topics of the day. All of this is intermixed with fun rainforest-themed activities, catchy songs, exciting games, tasty treats, and fun decorations. And the series of daily skits with Dr. Jones and his friends is sure to bring children back day after day. This is an exciting opportunity for the students to discover how God blessed us with His handiwork all around us, as we enjoy learning about Jesus.”
New this year will be a FAMILY ADVENTURE NIGHT on Friday. We will again begin at 6:15pm, but we will have the students sit with their families. Students will share with the families a little bit about what happened during the week. Then the audience will be treated to a reptile show live on our stage! Samuel, the owner of YOUR LITCHFIELD ZOO (check them out on facebook) will be here to let us meet some of his reptile friends. It is guaranteed to be a wild night. After the reptiles secured away in their cages, we’ll enjoy desserts & drinks in the playground area.

Registration will also be available in the church’s foyer on Monday night, August 5th starting at 6:00 PM.
